Two Eras, One Band
Love Riot came up in 1990s Baltimore. They won Yamaha's MusicQuest (25,000 bands, one grand prize), made Muscle and Maybe She Will with producer Eric "Roscoe" Ambel, and played the House of Blues, the Bottom Line, SXSW and Lilith Fair, opening for Wilco, 10,000 Maniacs and Alex Chilton. In 1997 they appeared as themselves on NBC's Homicide: Life on the Street. Then came a 25-year detour, including a Grammy-nominated run as the kids' band Milkshake. In 2025 the original five reunited to a sold-out room at the Creative Alliance. Nothing Is Etched In Stone (Deck Party Music, September 25, 2026) pairs six new songs with five recorded in 1999 and never released, mixed by Ambel.
